I purchased this router/modem combo thinking I'd have a good signal through the house, and save on having to buy multiple units.
Fact was, the signal wouldn't make it through the entire house which is roughly 1200sqft. The other point was I was not receiving the full output speed of the unit through the house or even in the same room.
I'm not a person who returns items frequently, or at all, but I didn't research this one enough!
No biggie, I'll still continue to shop at Office Depot. Great help and customer service!

I was psyched to get this product up & running after calling my ISP. All seemed fine until I discovered that I couldn't reconnect after my computer awakened from sleep (wired, not wireless). The "Genie" software was not able to troubleshoot or fix the problem. So I contacted Netgear tech support via live chat & was told this was normal & I should reboot my computer! Say what? I challenged this & was then declined further help because my product ser.# was supposedly registered to a different name. (Purchased it new in shrink wrap from Off. Depot). In general, Netgear modems to take a long time to connect, & tend to die after about 1 year. So I'm dumping this one & buying a different brand.
